Day2. Ulaanbaatar – Lake Ugii. 340 km. Breakfast. Head west out of the city. Our today’s destination is Lake Ugii, called a paradise for fishers, in the territory of Arkhangai province, the central part Mongolia. Also, we will show you ancient Nomadic Empire monuments and ruins of the cities such as Khar Bukh on your way. The scenery is wide-open steppe with rolling hills in the background. After arrive in the lake you will have dinner and will have some nice hiking along the shore of the picturesque lake. If you want we can do some boating experience and fishing there!
Day3. Ugii - Tsetserleg. 130 km. Today we will drive to Tsetserleg town, which is center of Arkhaingai province. After arrive in the city we will have lunch in nice local restaurants and visit to local museum and see second strictly protected area Mountain Bulgan. In the evening, you will have time for drinking in local pub and can check your email.
Day4. Tsetserleg - Khorgo-Terkh. 180 km. Today we will drive to National Park Khorgo-Terkh. Passing through the provincial centre Tsetserleg, you will get legendary rock Taikhar which stands not far from the Tsetserleg. The rock is a steep-sided, 25 meters high pinnacle of granite which rises abruptly from the flat grassland in the basin of River Tamir. Continue the drive to White Lake. It is the top attraction for your tour! En route, we enjoy gorge of River Chuluut and a hundred branch tree. Extinct volcano Khorgo erupted in the Quaternary Period and Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan was penetrated by lava that came into it from the eruption. Result of this meeting has created a truly incredible landscape which is matched by the fascinating extinct volcano craters which have produced a number of rock formations and huge gorges with fast flowing rivers and cascades. The Lake Terkhiin White, where once-active the volcanoes have formed some beautiful terrain suitable for hiking. Today we will be hiking to volcano Khorgo and climbing up to top of the volcano.
Day5. N.P. Khorgo Terkh – Tsenkher Hot Spa. 210 km. After breakfast we will drive to Tsenkher hot spa for relaxing! We will stay there in a tourist camp and will have well relax there. Tsenkher's curative mineral waters have been used for centuries as the most pure and healing in the Mongolia. Feel the 24 hour mineral water whirlpool massage the tension from your busy life at our refreshing, upscale and sensual countryside center. Day6. Tsenkher – Tuvkhun - Waterfall Ulaantsutgalan. 160 km. Today we will drive to Tuvkhun Monastery which was built in 1653. The Monastery Tuvkhun was built at Shireet Ulaan, the most beautiful scenery in Khangai Mountains. We will continue riding along the river until reach our overnight camping spot on the river's shores. Tuvkhen monastery is located in the densely forested and picturesque mountain Shivee at an elevation of 2000m above sea level. Tuvkhen monastery consists of a stupa, prayer wheels and 14 temples and orginally had about 20 lamas. As well, today we will have a trip to Orkhon Waterfall. This valley is known as the cradle of Mongolian civilization as many of Mongolia’s ancient monuments lie within its borders. The Orkhon Waterfall marks the halfway point of the Orkhon River, the longest River in Mongolia. The area surrounding the waterfall is green and forested and we will spend the day walking in the area and having a picnic lunch. This area of Mongolia is well known for producing the best ‘airag’, or fermented mares’ milk, in the country.
Day7. Waterfall Ulaantsutgalan - Karakorum. 120 km. After breakfast we will drive to Karakorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia where today there is a small local township. On arrival you will notice the first and most obvious landmark which is the massive wall of the Erdene Zuu Monastery. The monastery was built in 1586 by a well-known Mongolian king called Abtai Sain Khaan, and is surrounded by a vast 400m wall. Not a single nail was used in the construction of the ornate temples, only a few of which remain standing after the communist purges. In previous times the grounds held over 60 temples with 10,000 monks using them for their daily worship. We will visit there after lunch.
Day8. Karakorum – Khustai. 240 km. Today, you will head to east towards UB. En route, you will see & enjoy historical places of Heartland of Mongolia (there are many historical monuments such as ruins of ancient cities, deer stones, human stones, and etc. You will also cross River Orkhon, one of the 2 biggest Rivers in Mongolia. Today we will some hiking in the Khustai Mountain Natural Reserve, looking for great views and wildlife. (Prejevalsky's wild horses).
Day9. National Park Khustai – National Park Bogd Khaan. 100 km. Famous for wildlife viewing, Bogd Khaan Mountain National Park offers mountain hiking experiences. We are pleased to offer a popular Bogd Khaan Mountain Park Hiking trip just outside the Park entrance, and many people visiting Bogd Khaan National Park sample the backcountry. Try hiking, where you are dropped off after a 50 minute car drive in the Mongolian wilderness. There you and your guide will spend a few hours interpreting the flora and fauna of the area and possibly view wildlife in its natural habitat. Or try Mongolia hiking unguided were you can explore mountains, swift rivers, wildflowers, and wildlife. There are literally several of cross-mountain hiking possibilities in the park’s backcountry. A few shorter trails exist in the front country near the park entrance.
Day10. National Park Bogd Khaan - Ulaanbaatar. 20 km. After breakfast, see 9 flagceremony at the main squire of Ulaanbaatar, see Opening ceremony of the Naadam festival and first round of national wrestling competition in main stadium. After lunch, we will see a competition of Mongolian traditional archery at the allotted place. In afternoon, we will see Mongols’ most favorite activity of Naadam festival, horseracing in Valley of Khui Doloon Khudag (Seven water hole). After dinner, we will see a public party at Sukhbaatar main squire and then will have nice walking along the Piece Avenue.
Day11. International departure. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the railway station or international airport for your international departure.
