Biking in Central Asian mountain range Khangai. From Bayankhongor to Karakorum, and Inner Khangai mountain range to outer Khangai Mountain range, this is a true adventure biking journey across Central Mongolia. We begin this classic journey in the foothills of the majestic Khangai Mountains, which form the border between the Arkhangai province and Uvurkhangai province. Following superb dirt roads and single-track, we take 10 days to ride from Bayankhongor into Karakorum, crossing high passes en route and stopping off to take tea with nomadic shepherds at their yurt encampments. Crossing the Bayanzurkh Pass (2733m) into northern Khangai Mountain range, we make the breathtaking 5-day descent roadway to Karakorum, passing close to peaks and tumbling glaciers. This is a fast-moving and immensely diverse journey of epic proportions. A true and unique biking expedition. Due to the special nature of this unique trip with regard to logistics, we would advise contacting TNM at the earliest opportunity to register an interest.
