You can google & book the tickets online.Why food service not included in the Budget Arrangement? You can buy meals from local ger guesthouses by paying only 2 or 3 usd per meal. There is plenty of food shops on the way when you are touring. You can carry your own food from UB. It is nice you eat our own breakfast and then buy meals for lunch and dinner. Detailed Itinerary

Day1. Fly to Gobi. Yol Valley – horse ride & Bayanzag – famous dinosaur site.

In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation and transfer to the airport. After you landed in Dalanzadgad, our local guide and driver will pick you up and drive to Yol Valley (40 km). Yol means vulture in Mongolian and the valley begins from Zuun Saikhan Mountain and stretches over 10 km. The narrowest part, only 3 or 4 person can pass in same time, of the valley is completely shaded from the direct sun shine by high cliff walls. Also, the valley is famous for the fact that there is ice created in winter by small stream of the valley present there even during the hot summer months until end of July. The beauty of the valley, combined with the smell of juniper creates an atmosphere of awe and wonder. There we will ride horse through the valley. An hour hiking is also a nice activity there if you not like horse ride. As well, we visit to local natural museum of Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. Then we will drive to Bayanzag (101 km). Bayanzag means saxual forest in English and area of red cliffs “Bayanzag” which have been formed from the erosion of the water and wind over many millions of years. A lot of dinosaurs’ findings such as Protoceratops & dinosaur’ eggs have been found there in first time. American zoologist Roy Chapman Andrews discovered this place and named as Flaming Cliffs. The red colored cliffs themselves are very imposing from a distance, and are particularly fiery in the light of the setting sun. It is an interesting place to wander about to get a closer look at one of the world’s most famous paleontological sites. In the evening we will walk around the site. Overnight there.

Day2. Khongor Sand Dune – camel riding & climb up to top

After breakfast time, we will drive to Khongor Sand Dune (150 km). Khongor is second biggest sand dune in the country that extend along the northern side of Sevrei and Zoolun mountain ranges. It range from 5 to 10 km in width, nearly 100 km long, with crests rising 80 to 300m above the surrounding landscape. The booming sound produced by the masses of moving sand can be heard from afar when occurs windy day. Hence locals called it as Singing Sands. Near Khongor River at the northern edge of the dunes, there is an oasis. We will ride camels today to explore these massive sand-dunes and explore the area where climbing one of the dunes affords the energetic traveler with an unforgettable experience of endless vistas across a sea of daffodil-colored sand. Overnight there.

Day3. Ongi Monastery Ruin – hiking

After breakfast time, we will drive to Ongi Monastery Ruin (299 km). Ongi Monastery Ruin is the ruins of a Buddhist monastery founded in 1760 and destroyed in 1937 by communist purges. Located on the shore of the Ongi River, the monastery was formerly one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia. Raw violence of the destruction at the site was still visible, still palpable, even though it happened over years ago. It is a good place for overnight of traveling between Central Mongolia and Gobi. We will hike to the ruins for visiting to local ger museum displayed survived objects of destroyed monastery and a small lovely and active Buddhist temple. Overnight there.

Day4. Visit to nomadic family & Karakorum – former capital city of Genghis Khan

After breakfast time, we will drive to a nomadic family in Central Mongolia (217 km). Enjoy the joyful atmosphere and learn the clever nomads’ way of life by taking every chance of taking part in the nomadic life activities like a nomad. Experience the milking cows or goats. Watch how they produce tasty and nutritious dairy products. Taste their drink Airag (horse milk). Then, participate in the nomads’ daily chores – prepare dried dung from a nearby mountain for the family’s household use for making fire. After lunch time, we will drive to Karakorum (44 km). Karakorum, the capital of Great Mongolian State where today there is a small local township. The city of Karakorum was founded in 1220 in Orkhon River Valley by order of Genghis Khan and after collapse of Yuan dynasty of Khuvilai Khan, Min state’s invaders sacked the city in 1388 and ruined it. After 200 years in 1586, Erdene Zuu, the first Buddhist monastery have been built there by remained ruin of Karakorum as construction materials. In the 18th century, the complex of ornate gardens and 62 temples were home to over 1000 lamas. But in 1937, the most monasteries destroyed by communist purges. We will visit to Karakorum Museum, Karakorum Open Museum and Erdene Zuu Monastery respectively. Overnight there.

Day5. Tsenkher Hot Spring – relaxing

After breakfast time, we will drive to Tsenkher Hot Spring (125 km). Tsenkher’s abundant therapeutic natural hot spring, flows out from the ground at +86°c, have been identified as amongst the best in the Mongolia in terms of healing qualities, radio energy & temperature variance & water supply, and are particularly effective in treating a multitude of ailments and skin diseases because they can accommodate many different forms/strengths of therapy. There is several tourist ger resorts which provide hot pools by hot water from the Tsenkher geothermal area. We will do hiking to the scenic Shiveet Mountain or Tsenkher Valley which is home of yaks and stay in pool in the evening. Overnight in the tourist ger camp.

Day6. Khorgo-Terkh National Park – study volcanic activities

After breakfast time, we will drive to Khorgo-Terkh National Park (212 km). On the way, we will see Chuluut River Canyon. The volcano erupted in the Quaternary Period and its lava closed the water stream of a river and result of this meeting has created a truly incredible landscape, Khorgo Extinct Volcano and Terkh Lake, large placid lake is ringed by sandy beaches. There is a number of small or big circuit gorges, Shar Nokhoin Tam & Solo Person’s Cave etc, and complete or not complete erupted 13 volcanoes and rock formations with fast flowing rivers and cascades. From the top of the volcano panoramic view is superb. We will climb up to the top of the volcano and walk discover the circuit gorges. Overnight there.

Day7. Shine Ider sub-province

After breakfast time, we will drive to Shine Ider sub-province (170 km). On the way, we will see picturesque and high Orookh Mountain Pass. Overnight in the tourist ger camp.

Day8. Uushig Deer Stones – ancient burial site & Khuvsgul Lake – reindeer people

After breakfast time, we will drive to Uushig Deer Stones (109 km). A complex of 30 deer stones of Uushig Valley and its burial mounts belong to the ancient Huns period and over 3000 years ago. The Bronze Age funeral practice, sacrificial ritual and ideology and animal style art, which were spread among ancient nomads, are all together represented through deer stones made by long block of granite. Highly artistic illustrations of deers and other images are symbol of Shamanism. Especially, statues with images of human face draw attentions of many scientists and considered one of the rarest statues. We will walk and explore the site. Then we will drive to Khuvsgul Lake National Park (132 km). About midway along border between Mongolia and Russian Siberia, in a gigantic stone bowl nearly 110km long and almost 40km wide, lies 3% of the all the fresh water on earth – Lake Khusgul. The lake region is home to an enormous variety of plants and animals. Since 1990s Lake Khuvsgul and the entire surrounding area have been designated as a national park, and Khuvsgul is today a naturalist’s paradise and an idyllic holiday destination. The water in the lake is so clean and clear that one can easily catch sight of ground. After dinner time, we will do small leisure hike along the shore of the lake. After dinner time, we will visit  to the reindeer herders. They are Tuvan people who migrated to the northern most edge of Mongolian territory from Russian Tuvan Republic around 1920s by the variuos reason. Dukha (another name) are one of the last groups of nomadic reindeer herders and about 40 families left. Their living place is Ulaan Taiga and Darkhad Valley area but few  reindeer people move to south to the lake area in touristic season for selling hand made souviner to tourists and brought their reindeers for photo. Overnight there.

Day9. Khuvsgul Lake National Park – full day horse trek

After lunch time, we will enjoy an exhilarating horseback pack trip through untamed wilderness and panoramic scenery. The horseback riding enthusiast will experience an unforgettable excursion through timbered ridges and mountain meadows. We offer horse pack trips suited for all ages and abilities with rides varying in length . Horse pack trips allow you to reach deep into the southern Siberian wilderness. Horseback riding and fun are the main objectives on horse pack trips combined with good nomad’s Mongolian hospitality. Saddle up the whole family for an unforgettable horseback riding adventure. Overnight there.

Day10. Tunamal Lake – silent lake

After breakfast time, we will drive to Tunamal Lake (265 km). It is a smaller and picturesque lake with a peninsulale filled by marmots and dotted by smaller larch forest. Encircled by trees, grass, and some hills, Tunamal Lake’s shores are just the perfect place to sit and relax. We will make bonfire in the evening and try fishing. Overnight in the tent.

Day11. Khar Lake – sand meet water

After breakfast time, we will drive to Khar Lake (360 km). This lake, hidden between high mountains lake, has unique distinction. It’s west shore met rolling sands dunes of Bor Khyar Sands that created sand meets waters. We will do some hiking on the sands and try fishing. Overnight in the tent.

Day12. Mukhart River – magical river

After breakfast time, we will drive to Mukhart River (80 km). On the way, we will see Senjit Rock which is tall arch rock located on the top of mountain with brief taking view. The Mukhart River in the Bor Kyar Sand Dune emerges from a half crater foot of the 400 m tall sand dune together to create the magnificent oasis and runs for a few miles then disappears beneath the sands. The river valley has several species of trees and bushes. After lunch time, we will hike to the dam and and climb up to the top of sand dune. Overnight in tent.

Day13-14. Khyargas Lake – fishing and bird watching

After breakfast time, we will drive to Khyargas Lake (250 km). It is a big and salt watered lake of semi-desert area and size is over 3000 km squire. There is several highlights in the lake but Khetsuu Rock is major one. Water fouls arrive there in the April and settle the nest on the white rocks and spend whole summer there. Around Khetsuu Rock is fishers’ paradise. In the evening we will hike to the Khetsuu Khad natural rock formation with opportunity for bird watching. Overnight in the tent.

Day15. Ulgii town

After breakfast time, we will drive to Ulgii town (400 km). Ulgii is bigger town at West Mongolia. We will visit to local food market. Overnight in the hotel.

Day16. Altai Tavan Bogd – snow capped mountains

After breakfast time, we will drive to Altai Tavan Bogd Nationla Park (170 km). The name Altai comes from the Turkish word Ala-Tau, which means red mountain. Altai is a braid that intertwines high mountain ranges of incomparable beauty alternating moorlands, gorges, rivers and valleys sprinkled with small towns rich with culture and old traditions. There are pristine lakes and rivers, glacier parks, snow-capped peaks, and green mountain forests. There is 19 km long Potanin’s Glacier. Overnight in the tent.

Day17. Potanin’s Glasier – horse trek

After breakfst time, we will enjoy an exhilarating horseback pack trip through untamed wilderness and panoramic scenery. The horseback riding enthusiast will experience an unforgettable excursion through timbered ridges and mountain meadows. We offer horse pack trips suited for all ages and abilities with rides varying in length. Horse pack trips allow you to reach deep into the southern Siberian wilderness. Day18. Khoton & Khurgan Lakes – waterfall

After breakfast time, we will drive to Khoton & Khurgan Lakes (210 km). Located over 2000 m above sea level, both lakes are connected each other by 3 km long Sirgaal Channel. Surrounding nature is very picturesque, snowcapped mountains with coniferous forest and pristine clear streams gers of Kazakh people and pasturing yaks. There are about 20 islands in the lakes which are the home of home to many species of red listed birds: whooper swan, goose, eagle, hooded crane and various species of ducks. There is a nice waterfall Goojuur. Overnight in the tent.

Day19. Eagle Hunter

After breakfast time, we will drive to Sagsai Valley (133 km). There we will visit to eagle hunter family. Hunting with Golden Eagle is one of the most unique features of the Kazakh life. The hunter is named kusbegi or berkutchi. The experience of wild birds training was gained by Kazakh kusbegi by centuries, the secrets were impacted from the father to the son and kept deep secret. At the present time we can meet few people with such name. These masters have innate gift of wild birds training. After dinner time, we will drive to Uglii town (27 km) and overnight in the local hotel.

Day20. Fly back to Ulaanbaatar.

After breakfast time, we will drive to Ulgii and fly back to Ulaanbaatar. After you arrive in the city, our driver will pick you up and transfer to your drop off place.
