? Why domestic flight not included? The rate of the flight tickets is not constant, very changeable & will depends by many reasons such us when to buy etc. But we are able to book the tickets for you in their contract price without any charge or you directly to book by youself. There is 2 companies running in the business Aero Mongolia & Hunnu Air. You can google & book the tickets online.

Why food service not included in the Budget Arrangement? You can buy meals from local ger guesthouses by paying only 2 or 3 usd per meal. There is plenty of food shops on the way when you are touring. You can carry your own food from UB. It is nice you eat our own breakfast and then buy meals for lunch and dinner. Meals will be basic and usually cooked Mongolian traditional or Russian styled foods. Or you can get basic free kitchen belonings from us and cook yourself. more other Customers’ FAQs

Detailed Itinerary

Day1. Karakorum – Genghis Khaan’s capital city

pick you up from your accommodation – drive to Karakorum /360 km/ – check-in to the local accommodation – Explore and enjoy historical sites around Erdene Zuu khiid (Erdene Zuu monastery complex), visit to the Kharkhorum Museum – dinner time – free time – overnight there

Karakorum, the capital of Great Mongolian State where today there is a small local township. In the history, the city of Karakorum was founded in 1220 in Orkhon River Valley by order of Genghis Khan and after collapsing of Yuan dynasty of Khuvilai Khan Min state’s invaders sacked the city and massacred its inhabitants in 1388 and ruined it.

Day2. Tuvkhun Temple – hike in the larch forest & Orkhon Waterfall – horse ride

breakfast time – drive to Tövkhön khiid /90 km/ – lunch time and meet local horseman and horses – ride and explore Tövkhön khiid – drive to Orkhon Waterfall (50) – dinner time – leisure hike around the waterfall – overnight there

The monastery is located on the peak of the densely forested and picturesque mountain Shiveet at the elevation of 2000m. Mongolian first bogd (head of the Buddhism) Zanabazar’s followers built the temple in 1653 for meditation and art studio purpose. Over 25 m high and 10 m wide Orkhon Waterfall is the biggest waterfall in the country and one of the most attractive destination in Orkhon River Valley, UNISCO World heritage site. The surrounding areas of the waterfall was formed by volcanic activities dated back approximately 20,000 years and covered by over 10 m thick lava layer with interesting shapes of bubbles which created smaller waterfalls with 4-5 m heights.

Day3. Horsetrek trek to Naiman Lake

breakfast time – horseback riding towards Eight Lakes – lunch time – horseback riding – dinner time – riding to the nomadic family home – overnight in the tent (110 km)

The horseback riding enthusiast will experience an unforgettable excursion through timbered ridges and mountain meadows. We offer horse pack trips suited for all ages and abilities with rides varying in length . Horse pack trips allow you to reach deep into the southern Siberian wilderness.

Day4. Ongi Monastery Ruin – hiking

breakfast time – drive to Ongiin khiid /250 km/ – check-in to the local accommodation – lunch time – Explore Buddhist temple ruins, once was biggest complex in 17th century at Ongiin khiid (Ongi Monastery) – dinner time – free time  – overnight there

Ongi Monastery Ruins is the visible ruins of a Buddhist monastery founded in 1760 and destroyed in 1937 by communists. Located on the shore of the Ongi River, the monastery was formerly one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia.

Day5. Bayanzag – famous dinosaur site

breakfast time – drive to Bayanzag /170 km/ – check-in to the local accommodation – lunch time – free time – dinner time – Hike and explore most famous dinosaur site, Bayanzag or Ulaan ereg  (Flaming Cliffs) in the setting sun – overnight in there

Bayanzag means saxual forest in English and area of red cliffs “Bayanzag” which have been formed from the erosion of the water and wind over many millions of years. A lot of dinosaurs’ findings such as Protoceratops & dinosaur’ eggs have been found there in first time.

Day6. Khongor Sand Dune – camel riding and climbing

breakfast time – drive to Khongoryn els /150 km/ – check-in local accommodation – lunch time – short drive to Khongoryn els – Climb up to over 200 m high Khongoryn els (Singing or Khongor sand dunes) and ride two humped camels around picturesque desert oasis Khongoryn gol (Khongor river) – drive back to local accommodation – dinner time – free time – overnight there

Khongor is second biggest sand dune in the country that extend along the northern side of Sevrei and Zoolun mountain ranges. It range from 5 to 10 km in width, nearly 100 km long, with crests rising 80 to 300m above the surrounding landscape.

Day7. Yol Valley – a narrow picturesque gorge

breakfast time – drive to Yolyn am /190 km/ – lunch time – horse back riding in picturesque narrow Yolyn am (Eagle valley) and see ice glaciers in hot summer time in the second biggest Desert in the World, Gobi and visit to local attractive museum – drive to and check-in the local accommodation – dinner time – free time – overnight there

Yol means vulture in Mongolian and the valley begins from Zuun Saikhan Mountain, a branch of the Gurvan Saikhan Mountain range, and stretches over 10 km. The narrowest part, only 3 or 4 person can pass in same time, of the valley is completely shaded from the direct sun shine by high cliff walls.

Day8. Fly back to Ulaanbaatar

breakfast time – drive to Dalanzadgad (60 km) – transfer to local airfield – fly to Ulaanbaatar (1.5 hours) – pick you up from airport – transfer to your accommodation – endtransfer to your accommodation – end
