…A Yurt home stay is a great way to experience the lifestyles of the semi nomadic and nomadic peoples whose land we will travel through. For those unsure of what a yurt is, it is a traditional Central Asian circular tent built on a semi permanent wooden frame. As we travel across the region it's name will change from yurt, yurta, gert and finally to the Mongolian Ger, but what's in a name. For us the joy is meeting the people and our style of adventure tour must have this community involvement. Enjoy the home stay among regular nomadic families in Central Mongolia…

Day1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar.
On arrival in Ulaanbaatar, we transfer to the Bayangol Hotel and have a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon we take a leisurely stroll into the city centre, which is close to our hotel. First stop is Sukhbaatar Square, the central square named after the revolutionary hero of 1921, Damdiny Sukhbaatar, who declared independence from China. Next we visit Gandan Monastery, the largest and most famous functioning monastery in Mongolia. Here, we may be able to see monks in worship and we will also see the impressive Golden Buddha Statue of Migjid Janraisig. Another likely stop for the group is at the National History Museum. Welcome dinner in BD’s Mongolian barbeque.
