Itinerary name: ZAMIIN UUD & SUKHBAATAR Day1. Arrive in Zamyn-Uud border town. (230 km). Day3. Drive to Ikh Nart. (150 km) After breakfast, we will drive to Ikh Nart (means Great Sun). After we arrived in the Nature Reserve, we will have lunch time. Then we will arrange some hiking in the NR for seeing Argali Sheep. We will climb up to the highest point of the NR. The Ikh Nartiin Chuluu Nature Reserve (Ikh Nart) is a nature reserve located in the Dornogobi Aimag or East Gobi Province of Mongolia. Established in 1996, Ikh Nart covers an area of about 66,000 hectares of grassland and semi-desert steppe environments and harbors one of the last remaining populations of Argali Sheep. The Nature Reserve is located at the territory of Airag and Dalanjargal sub provinces of Dornogobi province. Besides the resident Argali, endangered Khulan or Asian Ass visit the southern part of the reserve in the summer. One hundred and twenty-four species of birds have been observed at Ikh Nart, including the endangered Saker Falcon. After we done our hiking, we will back to our camp and have dinner time. Then you will have free time. Day3. Drive to Middle Gobi province (260km) After breakfast in our HTL, we will leave for the Mongolian countryside. The first stop on the Gobi trip list is Baga Gazriin Chuluu (more commonly known as the Small Stones of Middle Gobi). It is granite formation in the middle of the Mongolian Sandy plane. At the food of the formation we will visit the remains of a small monastery named Delgeriin Choir. Day4. Ulaanbaatar. (90 km). We head to Ulaanbaatar. Then you will have a city tour optional time. Day5. Chinggis Khaan's Grand Statue & Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. (90 km) Early Morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation and drive to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. Before get in the National Park, we will be drive to Tsonjin Boldog National Resorts which is attracted by Chinggis Khaan’s Grand statue. We will be on the back of horse of the statue by elevator and see picturesque open valley with River Tuul. Then we will drive to the National park. After getting in the National Park, we will have some rest there. View of the Huge Turtle Rock – 4 Hours Ride. A 4 of hours is all you will need to enjoy the most breathe-taking views that no other horse stable in the Gorkhi river area can offer you! Nature lovers, horse lovers, young people or not so young, this trip is for everyone! This ride will take you back through the Tuul River area to the beautiful sites and sounds of mother nature for a 6-mile journey up the mountain to view the Mongolian legendary river winding through the Uguumur Valley. With no experience required, this is a great way to spend half your day. Visit to Nomadic family. On arrival you will have lunch at the nomads’ ger. Enjoy the joyful atmosphere and learn the clever nomads' way of life by taking every chance of taking part in the nomadic life activities like a nomad. Experience the milking cows, goats and sheep. Watch how they produce tasty and nutritious dairy products. Free time. In the evening you will have time to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. There are a lot of mountain flowers and you can spend the morning hiking or riding alone through forested hillsides amongst beautiful streams with crystal flowing waters. Day6. Ulaanbaatar – Lake Ugii. 340 km. Breakfast. Head west out of the city. Our today’s destination is Lake Ugii, called a paradise for fishers, in the territory of Arkhangai province, the central part Mongolia. Also, we will show you ancient Nomadic Empire monuments and ruins of the cities such as Khar Bukh on your way. The scenery is wide-open steppe with rolling hills in the background. After arrive in the lake you will have dinner and will have some nice hiking along the shore of the picturesque lake. If you want we can do some boating experience and fishing there! Day7. Extinct Voclano Uran (250 km). Overnight around the Volcano. Day8. Monastery Amarbayasgalant (250 km). After breakfast time, we will drive to a famous monastery Amarbayasgalant. After lunch time, we will arrived the destination and we walk around the monastery which is the second most important monastery in Mongolia after Erdene Zuu, and was built by Zanabazar in the 18th century. It was badly damaged during the religious purges of the 1930s but restoration work has brought the monastery back to something like its former glory. The area around the monastery is justly famous for its beautiful wild flowers and is a lovely place to spend some time relaxing, hiking and camping. After dinner time, you will have free time. Day9.
