Terelj Lodge (tourist camp) is located Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, near to Turtle Rock. The National Park was created in 1993 and borders the Khan Khentii Protected area. It is one of the most visited protected areas in the country.

The tourist camp is one of the several tourist camps in this place. The lodge is big sized and its facilities, specially toilet and shower, work very properly. This TC is connected to a well. Like other normal tourist camps, the Lodge has a big wooden building of restaurants and separate concrete building of public toilet and shower rooms. Ger accommodation is typical Mongolian styled. Comfort is superb. Electricity is connected to central electricity system and 24 hours. The camp area receives mobile signals of all operators and it allows you using calling and internet connection through your mobile phone.

Location & address: Terelj Lodge is 55 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar in the east in beautiful settings of Gorkhi Terelj National Park. It is only less than a kilometer on the dust road after leaving the main road. The famous Turtle Rock stands in a valley next to Ongotstiin Am Canyon, where Terelj Lodge is located.

Cancellation policy: on the day of check in – 80%, 1 day before check in – 40%, 2-3 days before check in – 15%, 4-7 days before check in – 5%.

Ger accommodation & other

The gers are made with centuries old traditional styles, and decorated with Mongolian national colorful patterns and most modern facilities that provide much more comforts to our esteemed guests when they are relaxing or sleeping. Terelj lodge has 23 standard ger and 8 deluxe ger with capacity to receive guests 80-85 at once.

The Lodge has modernized all of their ger with higher standard and comforts it should be and 2-4 guests can stay in a ger. Each ger is furnished with 2-3 large queen and king size beds traditional furniture.

Terelj lodge’s eight Deluxe ger include a private bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink, a king size bed or queen size twin beds and amenities such as slippers and toiletries.

Dining: Their Heritage restaurant can receive and serve 60-70 guests at once with fully equipped kitchen in a high standard of healthy environment and under Mongolian Master Chef leads the team to work and serve hot dishes and cold starters with attentive services. The Lodge has built 2 greenhouses and have planted some important vegetables such as cucumber, tomato, salad leaves, broccoli, green onion, parsley, spinach, lettuce and so on. They have a Kazakh ger for dining which has 20-30 seats and serves Mongolian national cuisines, Khorkhog, Boodog and dairy products. Also, they have added new service “Boodog Show” which is most respectful feast dinner made from entire carcass of goat roasted by red hot stones.

Facilities: The Lodge welcomes by a traditional ger museum for their customers in free of charge. Furnished with a set of Mongolian antique furniture in real traditional style, this small museum gives a good understanding about the centuries old lifestyles, and traditions of nomads from the steppes, as a guest you can visit our ger museum without any fees and we will treat you to many kind of Mongolian milk, dairy products, mare’s milk, and yogurts and also you can have a look and interest in the traditional antique accessories. It is possible to do outdoor activities such as horseback riding, visiting to nomadic family, river rafting, wooden wall gaming, traditional Mongolian archery shooting, hiking, visit to Ariyabal monastery and Turtle rock which are closely located to the lodge.
