Day1. Genghis Equestrian Statue & Gun Galuut Natural Reserve
Day2. Gorkhi-Terelj National Park

Day1. Genghis Equestrian Statue & Gun Galuutai Natural Reserve – wild sheep

We will pick you up from your accommodation at 08:00 o’clock & drive to Genghis Equestrian Statue (55 km – 1 hour on paved road). 40 m high Genghis Khan’s Horse Statue is believed to be highest equestrian statue in the World. There’s an elevator to observation desk on the top of the horse head & we will go there for taking pictures. Then we will drive to Gun Galuutai Natural Reserve (85 km – 2 hours on the paved road). This place is special protected place of the province and protecting wild sheep Argali. We will do a small tour for looking wild sheep in the mountain and you will feel wilderness. Overnight in the tourist ger camp.

Day2. Gorkhi-Terelj National Park – horse ride

After breakfast time, we will drive to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park (125 km – 2 hours on the paved road). Situated 70 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Gorkhi-Terelj National Park is famous for its unique granite rock formations and pristine alpine scenery, and is a popular destination for tourists based in the capital and for Mongolians on weekend trips. First we will see the gigantic Turtle Rock. Then we will have some horse ride (1 hour). This ride will take you back through the Turtle Rock area to the beautiful sites and sounds of mother nature for a several mile journey up the mountain to view. With no experience required. Then we will make short hike to picturesque lovely meditation Ariyabal Temple which is surrounded by scenic and rocky mountains and sits at middle of the them. It is not old temple. To get to the top, you would cross the suspension bridge and climb up on 108 stairs, according to Buddhist prayer beads. In the afternoon, you will have time to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Overnight there.

Day3. Bogd Khan Mountain National Park – leisure hike

After breakfast time, we will drive to Mandzushir Monastery Ruin (70 km – 1 hour on the paved road). First temple of Mandzushir was built in 1733 & was with over 500 monks, and complex with 21 big and small temples. It was destroyed by communist purge  in 1937. We will explore the site & visit to the small museums. Then we will have some nice hiking in Bogd Khan Mountain National Park. Situated in the front of Ulaanbaatar city and on the bank of the Tuul River, Bogd Khan Mountain Strictly Protected Area is oldest Government officially protected place in the World and was declared a sanctuary in 1778 for protection of its great variety flora and fauna. Bogd Khan Mountain is situated at an average altitude of 2000 m and is spread across of with patches of coniferous forests. Also, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. We will follow the hiking path to Tsetsee Gun peak until you want to return. Then we will drive to the nomadic family (75 km – 2 hours mostly on the dirt road). Enjoy the joyful atmosphere and learn the clever nomads’ way of life by taking every chance of taking part in the nomadic life activities like a nomad. Then we will have some horse ride (1 hour). This ride will take you back through the Tuul River Valley area to the beautiful sights and sounds of Mother Nature for an hour journey up the mountain to view. With no experience required. Overnight in the nomadic family.

Day4. Khustai National Park – wild horses

After breakfast time, we will go to Khustai Mountain (25 km on the dirt road). National Park Khustai where re-introduction of the wild takhi horses (Przhevalsky’s horses) has taken place since 1992. Takhi is last wild horse subspecies surviving in the 21st century. It was discovered in western Mongolia in the late 1870s by the Russian explorer N.M. Przhevalsky. Then we will be spent at leisure hiking in the surrounding mountains for seeing the wild horses. If we luck we may see also maral deer & other animals. Then we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar (105 km – 2 hours on the paved road) & you will transferred to your accommodation.
