The Khustai tour offered by our company also includes a visit to a Mongolian herder family. Located within the an hour drive from UB, Khustai National Park is an idyllic location to enjoy a mini break in the great outdoors. Khustai National Park is a place where wild horses takhi live. Przewalski’s horse is the last wild horse in the world. In a herder family, you can have lunch and ride a horse.

Day1. Hustai National Park

We will pick you up from your accommodation at 08:00 o’clock & drive to Hustai National Park (100 km – 2 hours on the paved road). National Park Hustai where re-introduction of the wild takhi horses (Przhevalsky’s horses) has taken place since 1992. Takhi is last wild horse subspecies surviving in the 21st century. It was discovered in western Mongolia in the late 1870s by the Russian explorer N.M. Przhevalsky. Then we will be spent at leisure hiking in the surrounding mountains for seeing the wild horses. If we luck we may see also maral deer & other animals. Then we will drive to a nomadic family (25 km – 1 hour on the dirt road). On arrival you will have lunch at the nomads’ ger. Then we will ride horse. This ride will take you back through the Tuul River Valley area to the beautiful sights and sounds of Mother Nature for an hour journey up the mountain to view. With no experience required. Overnight in the nomadic family.

Day2. Back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast time, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar (80 km – 2 hours on mostly the paved road) and you will transferred to your accommodation.

End time: Around 11:00 o’clock
