Day1. 08 Jul. Khustai National Park – wild horses & Elsen Tasarkhai Sands – camel riding

We will pick you up from your accommodation at 08:00 o’clock & drive to Khustai National Park (100 km – 2 hours on the paved road). National Park Khustai where re-introduction of the wild takhi horses (Przhevalsky’s horses) has taken place since 1992. Takhi is last wild horse subspecies surviving in the 21st century. It was discovered in western Mongolia in the late 1870s by the Russian explorer N.M. Przhevalsky. Then we will be spent at leisure hiking in the surrounding mountains for seeing the wild horses. If we luck we may see also maral deer & other animals. Then we will drive to Elsen Tasarkhai Sands (225 km – 4 hours on the paved road). Its English meaning is Piece of Sand and considered the northern edge of the Gobi desert & It is small sand dunes, continuously lies in the lowland of legendary Khugnu Khaan and Bat Khaan Mountains. On arrival you will have dinner at the nomads’ ger. Enjoy the joyful atmosphere and learn the clever nomads’ way of life by taking every chance of taking part in the nomadic life activities like a nomad. Then we will ride camels here (1 hour). The two-humped camels are very comfortable to ride, as they walk slowly and gently and we will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. Day2. 09 Jul. Karakorum 

After breakfast time, we will drive to Karakorum (75 km – 1 hour on the paved road). Karakorum, the capital of Great Mongolian State where today there is a small local township. After 200 years its sacked by Chinese, Erdene Zuu, built in 1586, is the first Buddhist monastery to have been built in Mongolia and by various construction materials were taken from the ruins of Karakorum. We will respectively visit  to Erdene Zuu Monastery, Karakorum Museum & other interesting historical sights there. Overnight in the tourist ger camp. /B,L,D/

Day3. 10 Jul. Naadam festival: Horse racing

After breakfast time, we will drive to Khui Doloon Khudag (325 km – 5 hours on the paved road). It is the big open valley or steppe for horse racing. We will see Mongols’ most favorite activity of Naadam festival, horse racing, featuring children riding bareback  across the steppe. Before dinner time, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar (35 km on the paved road) & transfer you to your accommodation. /B,L/

Day4. 11 Jul. Naadam festival: Opening ceremony, wresting & archery.

We will pick you up from your accommodation (pick up time will be confirmed) & drive to the Tuv Tsengeldekh stadium. Annual opening ceremonies are held in this stadium & also wrestling too. Our lunch will be a traditional meal “Naadam khuushuur” which is considered among the Mongolian people must eat food of Naadam festival. After lunch time, we will visit to the archery court which is located in the next of the main stadium. Then you will have some free time stroll around there. Before dinner time, we will transfer you to your accommodation. /L/

Day5. 12 Jul. Gorkhi-Terelj National Park 

We will pick you up from your accommodation at 08:00 o’clock and drive to Genghis Equestrian Statue (55 km – 1 hour on the paved road). 40 m high Genghis Khan’s Horse Statue is believed to be highest equestrian statue in the World. There’s an elevator to observation desk on the top of the horse head & we will go there for taking pictures. Then we will drive to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park (40 km – 1 hour on the paved road). Situated 70 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Gorkhi-Terelj National Park is famous for its unique granite rock formations and pristine alpine scenery, and is a popular destination for tourists based in the capital and for Mongolians on weekend trips. First we will see the gigantic Turtle Rock. Then we will have some horse ride (1 hour). This ride will take you back through the Turtle Rock area to the beautiful sites and sounds of mother nature for a several mile journey up the mountain to view. With no experience required. Then we will make short hike to picturesque lovely meditation Ariyabal Temple which is surrounded by scenic and rocky mountains and sits at middle of the them. It is not old temple. To get to the top, you would cross the suspension bridge and climb up on 108 stairs, according to Buddhist prayer beads. In the afternoon, you will have time to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Overnight in the tourist ger camp. /L,D/

Day6. 13 Jul. Back to Ulaanbaatar 

After breakfast time, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar city (60 km – 1 hour on the paved road) and you will transferred to your accommodation. /B/

End time: around 18:00 o’clock
