| Day1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar We will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel (50 km – 1 hour). Overnight in the hotel. |
| Day2. Ulaanbaatar city tour After breakfast, we will visit the Main Square. Here you will see the majestic statue of Genghis Khan and other interesting sights. Then we will visit Genghis Khan Museum. This museum is the largest museum in Mongolia. After lunch, we will visit Gandan Monastery, the center of Mongolian Buddhism. Here you will see the 26.5 m tall Megjid Janraisag. Then we will visit the Dinosaur Museum. The country is one of the top 3 countries in the world for dinosaur fossils. | Day3. Gorkhi-Terelj National Park tour After breakfast, we will go to the equestrian statue complex of Genghis Khan (55 km – 1 hour on the paved road). This monument is the tallest equestrian monument in the world. Then we will go to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park (40 km – 1 hour on the paved road). When we arrive, we will see the Giant Tortoise Rock. Also hike to Ariyabal, a small meditation monastery. After lunch we go horse riding. If you want, you can go here by dog sled. Dinner will be Mongolian national food. On this day, you will spend the night in a Mongolian ger. /B,L,D/ |
| Day4. Khustai National Park tour After breakfast, we will go to Khustai Sanctuary. In Khustai, we will see the only wild horses in the world. Also see other animals in nature. After lunch, we will visit a nomadic pastoralist family. Overnight in the ger. /B,L,D/ |
| Day5. Elsen Tasarkhai Sands After breakfast, we will drive to Elsen Tasarkhai Sands (220 km – 4 hours on the paved road). After lunch, we will ride 2 humped camel. We will also go on a sand dune hike. Try some Mongolian traditional food. Overnight in the nomadic family. /B,L,D/ |
| Day6. Karakorum After breakfast, we will drive to Karakorum (80 km – 1 hour on the paved road). The city of Kharkhorin was the capital of the Great Mongol Empire. Here we will enter Mongolia’s first Buddhist monastery, Erden Zuu. Also see the newly established Kharkhorin Museum. Overnight in the local ger guesthouse. /B,L,D/ |
| Day7. Back to Ulaanbaatar & shopping After breakfast, we will return to Ulaanbaatar (360 km – 6 hours on the paved road). When you arrive, you can check several shops. Overnight in the hotel. /B,L/ |
| Day8. Departure After lunch you will be transferred to the airport /B/ |
